Allsea's Adding to My Good Fortune

"Abacus"

abacus
Abacus is the culmination of everything I ever dreamed about, wanted to create through my own breeding program, and love about this breed. It was a very Fortune-ate day, indeed, for Allsea Golden Retrievers when she was born. It was obvious almost immediately that Abacus was going to be a very special puppy and there was never any doubt that she would be a "keeper". Her sweetness, willingness to please, strong desire to never put a paw out of line, and her serious work ethic makes her a truly special girl in the show ring--and in my life.

Descending from a long line of exceptional quality Golden Retrievers, Abacus is the epitome of the structure, balance, and movement described in the Golden Retriever breed standard. Abacus has a wonderful shoulder layback and assembly, nice length to upper arm, beautiful neck that flows into a strong, solid level top line that ends in a lovely tail set over a strong rear assembly.

With all these attributes, it is not surprising to discover she has an effortless, smooth gait with exceptional reach and drive, perfect foot timing, and movement that is clean coming and going.

Abacus picked up her first points at her third time in the ring at the tender age of 7 months.  She celebrated the Fourth of July weekend with a bang by going Best of Breed from the 6-9 puppy class two days in a row.

Now on a roll, Abacus picked up two more nice wins including a Best of Opposite Sex and three more points her second and third weekend out in the puppy classes. She picked up another two points in the 9-12 month class.

Abacus decided to celebrate her first birthday with a another Best of Breed and Best of Winners over specials that included the number one Golden Retriever in the country (the bitch that won the GRCA National competition and the Breed at 2008 Westminster) .

Proving this win was not a fluke, Judge Judy Webb gave her a Sporting Group Second placement for her first 3 Show Dog Hall of Fame points.

Abacus has accomplished more than I could ask in the show ring and is getting ready to embark on her new career as a mom in 2010.
